Can't get Pro Switch Panel to work.

Hi, I've been using the switch panel on my own system for the last 6 months or so and love it. But, I am trying to install it for a friend and am having a heck of a time with it. We have virtually the same system.

When I run the test page it appears to be working fine but when I start up FSX I get no recognition of it at all. If I go into Launch the flight sim X plugin manually, I get the following message. " This application has failed to start because the appllication configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

I tried downloading the driver from the web-site. I downloaded the additional file and put it into the recommended "C, Documents and settings, All users, Application Data, Microsoft, FSX" with no luck.

Please advise,

Mitch

Hi,

Try uninstalling FSX then go to the C:\Windows\winsxs folder - delete the three files starting with x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect from there and then restart the PC and reinstall FSX.

Reinstall our driver again and they should find that it works.
