Unhappy X52 Throttle problem

Initially my throttle worked fine. Now it will not give full throttle on MS Flight Simulator. I have tried adjusting it with no success and even if I set it at half throttle when the FS says three quarters, it still does not give full throttle.

Does the throttle still respond correctly in the Saitek Control Panel?

Question

Yes it does

I have now visited the Microsoft support page and it appears there is a software problem that may be the cause (http://support.microsft.com/kb/823631).

I am working through this complicated solution and will report if it solves the problem.

I've been having the exact same issue with my X45 throttle, and (surprise surprise!!) I followed this microsoft article...and it's fixed!!

(As a geek, I went a bit further than the article and deleted all references to "saitek" that I found in the registry. Some I couldn't delete, but that seems to be ok.)

Thanks a ton for your post, Taplow; plugging in my Logitec Wingman Extreme just for the use of the throttle was SO not the right thing to do...now i'm back to using my X45 throttle.
