X52 Mouse + Keyboard Trouble

Okay, so I've had my X52 for a while now and it's always worked fine. Recently, though, I reformatted my hard drive and installed WinXP Pro. I proceeded to install the X52 and everything worked fine. The magic keyboard and mouse installed. I was able to create a profile and use the controller for maybe an hour. At that point the mouse ceased to function as did every command I'd programmed. Commands native to the game, for example the trigger firing the main weapon, work fine. The keystrokes I've assigned to buttons, however, don't work.

I reinstalled the X52 and again it worked fine for an hour. And then the mouse and keyboard functions quit. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas how to fix it? Constantly uninstalling and reinstalling the device isn't exactly fun.

similar issue with X52

hi, i have an x52, i recently updated to the latest drivers and SST software, programmed the device, loaded the profile ok, but the keypresses do not work in the game, except for the primary and secondary trigger and flight axis.
The naming of the keypresses is shown on the throttle display, but for eg., when i map ESC on one of the keys, it does not work, also not in win.

If unprogrammed, the device can be programmed from within the game, but since there is the SST software.....

Anyone knows why this could be happening and how to get rid of it ? Thanks
