Problems with New Drivers & Software

Maybe someone is having the same problems I'm having. I use the X45. When I finish flying and close out of Falcon 4.0:AF my keyboard is stuck with the letter "B" repeating itself. I then have to reboot. I have uninstall & reinstalled the Drivers & Software. I have the latest stuff.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Lightning

Hey Buff,
Thanks for the tip. I'll do that. But, this isn't the first time that has happened. Even when I used Win98 & older drivers I had this problem.

well, it's probably something to do with your profile/how it's programmed.
What does B do in Falcon 4 & what have you got that mapped to on the X45?

Thanks Buff, I'll check that out when I get home tonight. It's kind of hard to look when you're at work. I'll post tomorrow and let you know.

"B" button Mapping

Hey Buff,
I looked and found that I did have the "B" button mapped. In F4.0:AF it is for the Speed Brakes. I have those connected to the Aux switch on the Throttle. Now that I think about it the last time I flew I landed & probably forgot to move the switch back to the neutral or center position to turn the command off. I mapped the switch so that positon 1 "Closed" the speed brakes, position 2 or center did nothing, and position 3 "Opened" the speed brakes. I'll bet dollors to doughnuts I left the switch in the open position. Next time I fly I'm going to make sure that switch is in position 2 and see what happens.
I'll let you know about that.
Thanks
Lightning

Image Original CD

I've been having some trouble as well lately.
Since I moved continents, I lost my original CD.

Any1 able to post a link to an image of the CD for the X45?
Thanks

Original CD

You don't need the original CD. Go to downloads section and follow the instructions to get the new drivers and software for the X45. I would set up a folder on your harddrive to save these 2 programs to. Save them to there and then disconnect from the internet, disable any Anti-virus & spyware on your PC. Then open the folder & double click one and it will install. Then follow the same procedure for the other one. That should do it for you.
Let me know how it works out.

I recently reloaded my saitek software and the new programs are in .pr0 format and not .dat format. For some reason, I can't reload the old software. I've loaded the new software and although the joystick (x45) is calibrated, when I enter I'm in a hard right roll. Help, I can't fly.

you probably would have been better served by starting your own thread.
However, what game are we talking about or does it occur in more than 1 game?

Software Reload

Hey Viperhawk,
Did you calibrate with the X45 software? It is possible that your game has a calibration screen also. I usually will calibrate on BOTH!. First with the X45 & then with the game. Check that out & see what happens.
TTYL,
Lightning
