The constant defined for the X52Pro is {29DAD506-F93B-4F20-85FA-1E02C04FAC17}, it looks like there could be a byte ordering issue in either displaying what is present, or matching the GUIDs.

Can you open RegEdit and find (Edit->Find... or Ctrl+F) the value named "Device_Type" (under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Class\{745A17A0-74D3-11D0-B6FE-00A0C90F57DA}" ) and check its value is "{29DAD506-F93B-4f20-85FA-1E02C04FAC17}".

Blackswift doesn't support the beta drivers yet. He recommends using the latest full version drivers only, not the beta.

You're probably missing FSConnect.

It looks like the 1.3 zip file is just a patch, you'll need to install the previous version (1.2) to get full functionality (including FSConnect).

No idea what you're doing wrong, I don't own FS2004 to test. Your best bet would be to post a comment on BlackSwift's site and see if he can help you directly.

You could also download all the versions of his plugin (1.0 and up) and install them in order, that may help.

MFD on fs 2004

hello again everyone
hey installed the software posted by blackswift but i get the following direct connect runnning but and x next to fs connect, and the mfd doesnt display anything while i'm flying on fs 2004.
i went to the blackswift site but i'm not really clear on what to do after downloading the software and running it.
I also read about a file that needs to be renamed but there is a file under the same name in the same folder.
"Make a copy of the DirectOutput.dll in the C:\Program Files\Saitek\DirectOutput folder on your PC (on 32bit) or C:\Program Files (x86)\Saitek\DirectOutput (on 64bit). Rename that copy to DirectOutputX86.dll and then things should work."
im running win xp x64
nforce 680i
4gb ram
q6600
2x 500gb
nvidia 8800 gts 320mb
same problem as skele1.

MFD on fs 2004

Hello everyone.
I posted and issue yesterday, but I found a way to fix it.
It turns out that blackswift software v1.0 has to be installed before you can update to the v1.3 for the mfd to work on FS2004.
Thanks

Hi to all and thank you Blackswift for a fantastic module, Cheers

Please could anyone help with this small but annoying problem that I have?.

On the manual:

Launching the program

Once the program installed and configured, plug the controller on the computer, then launch FS2004. The X52PI4FS9.dll module launches the X52 Pro Interface for FS9.exe program for you (you may also disable the module and launch the executable program by yourself).

The "X52 Pro Interface for FS9.exe" program checks out for the presence of the joystick (if not present it waits for 10 seconds before exiting), for FSConnect and loads the pages in the MFD. You're now ready to fly!

The problem is I seem to have disabled the module while installing?, because now I have to launch both programs at different times, I went as instructed first installing V 1.2 and I don't know how this come happened, how can I change it back??. Any ideas because the manual does not explain how.

Please Help and be Happy and Free!
Thanx

Hello,

At the beginning, Blackswift's module wouldn't work. I installed the no-cd patch for FS2004, everything works perfect now.

Strange, but perhaps helpfull for anyone.

I have read through this thread and followed as much of the instructions as I can, but I am getting an error not yet reported;
When I run either fs9 or the "X52 Pro Interface for FS9.exe" direct from the folder it reports "no controller found. Exiting"

Obviously the controller is plugged in and working just fine, why can the program not yet see it?
