reinstall FSX = no MFD plugin
had this problem yesterday, took me all day to figure out thanks to the 2 hour reinstall cycle with FSX
i could not get my x52 pro or my trackIr to talk to FSX, it turns out after you uninstall FSX you need to check C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS for a folder called x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c1442 4d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_x-ww_35e8ee9a by deleting this folder after uninstalling, when you reinstall it will drop a new copy of the folder and simconnect file in there. 1st time you start FSX it will pick up and plugins on 3rd party apps, such as the X52's MFD. |

I'm sorry for having to bring you some bad news mate, but all you have to do is manually launch SaiFlightSimX.exe before you start FSX after a re-install, and FSX will again promt you with the MFD plug-in window when FSX is loading up. Also make sure DirectOutputManager.exe is running in task manager prior to doing this, although it should be running regardless of whether or not you even have FSX installed.
Felt like I had to create a profile just to correct this so that people don't go on a mad re-install rampage if they encounter this scenario when there is a very simple solution. |
