leveling out

hi. how can i set the joy to level out when i let go of it.im playing bf2 and when i want to go from an angel to level i would like to just have to center the stike and not fight back and forth to do it.basicly just let go of it to level out. i fly the heli all the time and do great with mouse and key but would rather use joy but it will roll left and stay untill i move joy all the way right than back to center i dont like this.andy ideads would be great.

I don't think there is a way to do that. The physics in Battlefield 2 prevent what you are trying to accomplish. The angle of the chopper not only depends on the position of the stick, but also on the speed of the chopper. At higher speeds the chopper is harder to control.

It helps to setup deadzones in the configuration panel. Play with that. This allows you to control the chopper in a single direction without affecting the other ones.

Another tip: Make very gentle movements with the stick. The more you pull it the more problems you'll have to get the chopper leveled again.
