when i download the driver and config programs from the saitek web site, they are reported as 'corrupt' by their internal uncompression routines

when i downloaded and tried to the open the support files, i get an error:
"
the contents of this cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again
"

ive downloaded them more than once and the same error every time

I am using a XPSP2 system with sufficient resources (memory and disk space etc)

The files in question are:
SD_WinXP_4_3_3_1727.exe
SD_WinXP_4_3_3_1727drivers.exe

has anyone experienced this? does anyone know where i can get a non-corrupt version of the files?

thanks

you aren't by any chance using an nForce4 based system with the nVidia Network Access manager installed are you? That's a well known cause of download corruption for a lot of people.

Hi,

Also, if you are running a firewall (including Windows XP's Firewall), anti-virus or download manager then try disabling them and downloading again – it’s also worth changing your browser to see if it helps. Also, try right-clicking on the link and choosing Save Target As… to try and download it and see if that makes a difference.

I can assure you that the files are definitely not corrupt though...

turns out avoiding use of AntiVirus and other download manager allowed it work this time

thanks for the advice all
