I recently purchased a Saitek Evo Wireless after using the wired version for some time. I have found that the controller is very insensitive around the centre point, requiring (in comparison to the wired version) a large movement away from this position to get some response while the wired version will respond to very slight movements away from the centre point.
In both the windows test modes and games this is the case. I have tried the latest 3 drivers, different USB ports etc with exactly the same results.
Wondering if maybe the joystick would "wear in" I have also tested a brand new wired version, this performs exacatly the same as my old wired version and is sensitive around the centre point as expected.
Is this normal? Or is it a flaw in this joystick. This is extreamly annoying as what once took sensitive movements to correct now requires a large stick movement.
