You will have to email support for a new CD as the drivers/software aren't on the ftp (latest being those that shipped with the product).

Or alternatively, if you're running XP then you can obtain the drivers and software like this:

With the controller plugged in, connect to the internet and run Windows Update (Start>Windows Update). Once there choose Custom Installation and then let it scan your PC for any available updates. Once it's finished there should be an update available for the controller in the list of Optional Hardware Updates - add that to the list of downloads and then let it download and install it for you. Once that's done you will need to get the programming software. To get this you need to go to the Properties screen for the pad in Control Panel and click the About tab. Click the link on that page to download the latest version of the programming software and install it. Once that’s installed the programming software should be working fine.

A new driver and software release for all the controllers is currently in test - this will bring all controllers up to the same version and provide a download on the website for the X52. In the meantime, as said in the last post, you can obtain the drivers and software by using Windows Update.

I was just wondering when, approximately, will the new drivers be released?
I'm having some serious issues with my X52, and is in dire need for a solution
to these. I have tried to update my drivers via Windows Update, but I never
get any results from it. I'm currently using v. 5.0.0.2000, and as said, is
unable to update it. The problems include unprecise controls and startup-issues.

I wish I hadn't sold my X45's...

Hi,

Doesn't sound like anything that a driver is going to fix, seeing as these aren't known issues. Could you be more precise about these problems and which games you're using... and preferably in a new thread in the X52 section?

Hi,

perhaps it would be a great idea to make the OLD drivers available on this site. I have made the XP-Update and since then I cannot use the profilemanager any more. The message I can read instead is: [any name].dat is no profile for this device. The device was not updated with this profile (well, its translated from the german message, so I hope I hit the point ;D )

Before this Update everything went well... (yes I know, why updating while no problems occure.. grr ;D)

Thanks

Hi,

You've downloaded the latest driver from Windows Update which means you also need to get the latest programming software. Go to Game Controllers, open the Properties for the stick and then click the About tab at the top. In there click the link to download the latest programming software. Once that's downloaded, install it and things should be back to normal.

Note: When you click on the link it will bring up our website; do not click anything on there. Instead, wait for a bit and you should get a download prompt for the file - Save that to your PC and then install it once downloaded.

Besides a distain for IE in general I brushed the virtual dust off of my IE and tried to perform the indicated fix I received this error

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

I have a very new computer with very new hardware and I think that all the bugs are not out of everything yet. 95% of time everything is screamingly fast but I do get the occasional lock up Once a week.

I realize that this indicates a problem with my computer but surly there must be some where to get the software besides using Microsoft windows update.

i have a 64 bit processor but have not yet jumped off the deep end and gone for 64 bit windows. (Call me crazy for not wanting more driver headaches)

FYI I have gamers keyboard. and zboard (yes I love my toys) incase that might be causing a problem.

I can’t believe that loosing the disk is such an issue. Most software and hardware theses days there are updated drivers or patches before it finishes shipping.

I don’t know whether to congratulate Saitek or not for not having updated drivers on there website.

Would it be that big a deal to provide the cd drivers on the website for us dummies who loose the CD… I can’t see any downside to providing this service expect for a small increase in bandwidth but for a freaking $200+ joystick a little service. If this was a $10 Wal-Mart special I might see the reluctance.
