hey my friend has a x45 he got it with the special edition of aces combat 5....i bought an x52....cuz i like the pritty lights and i wanted to use it to play battlefield 2. I also have aces combat and i was wondering if theres any way i can use it for my ps2....i hook it up to my usb port and it lights up everything but the lcd and it wont read any of my movements, im guessing cuz theres no drivers on the ps2 for the joy stick and the cd wont work with it....any fixes for this or is it even possible

Hi,

You're absolutely right - there's no drivers on the PS2 for it and no way of getting any on there. They would have to be incorporated in the game and of course that's not possible now that the game is released.

I know i'm bringing up an old post but i thought maybe and was hopeing there is some kind of update to this. I too have an x52 joystick and have ace combat 5. Is there maybe some way to copy the drivers from usb pen drive to maybe a memory card?

Or are there any flight games on ps2 that are compatable with the x52?

Same answer I'm afraid - the games have to have the drivers built into them, which they don't. There's no other way around this - sorry.

The same is true of any PC stick on any game (unless that stick has been designed to work on both PC and PS2, at which point it would usually have the PS2's normal connector as well as the USB plug) - they just won't work.

Arcade PC flying games? Crimson Skies and Secret Weapons Over Normandy are widely considered the best of the bunch. Blazing Angels came out recently too but it has a very broken controller assignment utility so it's not really any good with most joysticks!
