View Full Version : R440 as Rudder Pedals?

Is anyone using the R440s gas/brake pedals as rudder pedals in a flight sim? I read that you can combine the axis on the pedals and am considering getting a pair primarily for rudder pedals in IL-2/Pacific Fighters since I can get a refurbished pair for a great deal cheaper than CH Pro Pedals.

The only drawback I can think of besides the steering wheel being attached to my PC even though I'm not using it is that there is no return pedal force, ie, as I press the left pedal in it will not push the right pedal out.

Possible, not possible, any thoughts?

I asked UKSupport about this quite a while ago & it's very possible as long as the game supports multiple controllers.

Which the IL-2 series does. Yes, just set the pedals to combined mode in the Properties in Game Controllers (so they're both on the Y axis) and you'll then be able to assign them to the Yaw command in IL-2 etc. instead of the rudder function on your stick.

I had that (yaxis) for more than one year and worked fine... I just build a new pc installed the drivers and when i go to the control panel and choose the combine axis the cross stays at the top left corner and nothing happens when i press the pedals...
I try it in Open falcon and it does not display the y axis on the rudders option. Any help?
