Before I installed my gamers keyboard (GK), I could wake my computer from standby mode by pressing a button on my old keyboard. As of now, I am unable to do this. I checked my hardware profiles on controlpanel>system>hardwareprofiles. I can find no check mark to allow this device to wake computer like I had on my old PS/2 keyboard. Could this be because the GK is USB and not PS/2? If not, what can I do to correct this?
Thanks!

I used to start my computer by hitting CTRL-F12. But, now I cannot.
I also noticed that I cannot get into my BIOS by hitting DEL anymore.
I think there is a setting in my BIOS for USB to be handled by the BIOS rather than the OS. This allows you to be able to use the keyboard during bootup and also probably during standby mode.
Look into that as an option.
Good luck.

i have same entering bios prob, another forum member told me to switch the agp/pci order to pci/agp so that the usb bus would power up before the bios, but hasn't worked right yet.

Well, here is the interesting thing...when I boot my computer, an eMachine, I do not get the option to entr BIOS setup. I was used to seeing something like hit F2 but nada. Any thought on that?

go into Control Panel,
click performance and maintenence
click System icon
click Hardware tab
expand Keyboards root
right click on keyboard "if more than one shows then use the one with the
power management tab"
click Power Management tab
check box for "To bring system up from standby"
done.

On my previous PS/2 keyboard you would have been entirely correct. I had that check box avilable to me. In the keyboard profiles, there are two listed, neither has this option anywhere. Additionally, I did check my BIOS setting and wake on USB is enabled. So, at this point I just don't know.

This was posted on another thread by a Saitek Rep. This reply is unsatisfactory IMO.
Hi,
Some PC configurations will not detect the keyboard until you get into Windows - this is because it is not a standard USB keyboard and the hardware works a little differently to a standard USB keyboard.
All you have to do is to use your old keyboard to enter your PC's BIOS. In there on one of the menus will be an option that warns you if you don't have a keyboard plugged in - just disable that warning and the PC will then boot up just fine with just the Gamers' Keyboard plugged in.
