Hello,

i have been using the saitek gamers keyboard for a while now. I have had no problems using it but i have just recently bought a logic3 pro flight joystick. The joystick worked fine in windows and was able to calibrate it easily enough. However it didnt work anywhere else and this is most likely due to the keyboard overiding it. I looked on game controllers and despite there being 3 just for the keyboard command pad (which i dont use nor have i got it pluggged in), it refused to let me select the joystick as default controller and did not let me to uninstall any of the command pad game controller options telling me i need to do this in devise manager - I have tried uninstalling all of the drivers related to saitek in device manager, making it unable to use the keyboard (I just want to use it normaly without all this extra driver rubbish) yet my joystick still wont work in games such as BF2 nor can i get any direct input from it in selecting a push to talk button on my joy stick in ventrilo.

is there anyway i can use the keyboard as a normal keybaord, rather than all this game controler/driver rubbish so it doesnt nazi my joystick? if not then i would gladly replace the keyboard rather than change joy stick.

in general; i have no control over what drivers i want saitek to install (it installs 3 just wen i plug it in automaticaly) and i cant remove the command pad from my game controler list. wether or not this would fix the problem i have with my joystick; i would still like to know how i can just use the keyboard as a keyboard as i dont need any of the extra rubbish anymore

Hi,

Yes, this is because the PC is treating the command pad on the keyboard as the primary controller. The only way around this is to disable it. To do this open the System icon in Control Panel, click Hardware at the top of the window that comes up and then click Device Manager. In there click the plus sign next to the Human Interface Devices category and then right-click and disable the two Gamers' Keyboard entries.
