Ive noticed that every time I unplug my x52 from my laptop I have to reinstall the drivers, as the profiler wont start. Rebooting doesnt help this issue.
Things I have noticed:
MFD light not coming on
Profiler not able to execute
Profile Editor will not load profile.
Whats the deal here?

Vista is a bit weird with USB devices. Are you plugging the stick into the same port every time?

Dont know...dont think so, I got quite a few devices that I have to unplug and plug in every time I pack the latop up...and that includes the TIR4 pro, priner, the 2 mouses that I use for gaming, usb headphone and mic, and of course the joystick and a 110 key keyboard.

If I recall correctly, Vista expects USB devices to be plugged into the same port each time, otherwise the device is identified as new (which could trigger the new device wizard, asking for drivers).
Next time you get it all working and have to unplug the X52, remember which port it was in and stick it back there when you set up next time.

Thanks, Spksh, that solved my problem (same symptoms). Good solution!

The proper solution would be to uninstall Vista and start over with XP, but I'm glad the workaround helped you ;)
