View Full Version : ProfilerU.exe Vista x64 Where'd it go?

I just downloaded the beta Profiler software and drivers. Installed them both. Can run the profile editor just fine, but can not seem to find profiler to load the profile I created.
It shows profileru.exe running in task manager, but no icon in the task bar and no window to bring to the front to switch profiles. Under game controllers the X52 is there and I can verify that every button and axis work fine. Any thoughts?
I'm running vista 64 bit ultimate.

You don't see a Saitek controller icon in the System Tray (where the clock is)? You might have to expand the system tray to see all the icons.

I also have this problem, although the taskbar is maximized. Vista x86 was fine but I have this problem in Vistax64.
The profile can be activated via the profile editor, but not via the tray as there is no icon.
If I install the stick once again the icon appears until I reboot, when it disapears.
TIA for help

Yes, I am running latest drivers and SST software...
I use dual boot of Vista x86 and x64, so it is exactly the same hardware.
Eveerything works just fine, except that little icon which is so handy :o

Hi!. I have the same problem with WinXP-SP2. I install the lastest drivers and software from Saitek page without problems. Editor work fine (creating, saving and loading profiles) but the icon doesnīt load in the taskbar. Taskbar is maximized. I try reinstall all but the result is the same.
In my case WinXP-SP2 is in Spanish, but I think thatīs not the problem because Editor work fine.
Thanks. :)

I was having this same problem on Windows Vista 32 and the icon would show when I reinstalled. Oddly, the problem has not occurred the last few times I've booted up my computer. Not sure if I did something to solve it.

I try a lot of things and finally the solution was the instalation of an old version of the driver and the software  . I think itīs a programming problem and Saitek could start from this point and review the lastest version. I hope this could help the others users.
I decided to keep the old version for me.
Thanks :)
