View Full Version : Autostart/Autoload profile with SST?
Hi,
is anyone able to autostart and autoload a given profile on startup of Windows XP?
Was just wondering if it would be possible to autoload my PC Dash 2 (P8000) without firing up the whole bunch of SST/profile thang each time.
Kind regards
The profiler should autostart with XP (unless you have disabled it with MSconfig).
This was posted a while ago by UK Support, don't know if it works for a P8000.
You can change the default profile by doing the following:
Click Start>Run and then type:
prfact -v-f"C:\Program Files\Saitek\Software\profilename.dat" -D
and click OK. Then unplug the controller and plug it back in again and the
profile you specified should now be the default profile loaded into the stick
right then and there.
Remember though that this means that the stick is permanently programmed with
that profile unless you load another one in - you won't be able to use the stick
as "just a normal stick" unless you clear the default profile by using the
following command line:
prfact -c
Buff,
you're right. In Win XP, the SST runs automatically when the PC Dash 2 is connected to the PC. Sorry, my fault not to be clear.
Just wanted a solution for the autoprofile funtion, which should work the way you described. Will give it a shot next week when i'm back to my playing machine.
Thanks!
Kind regards
