Hi guys,

I have an x52 (not pro) which worked perfectly with my old SST Profile, I recently installed the latest beta version of the software and it will not recognise any buttons/toggles/hats on the x52 when pressed/moved?

I cant program it at all at the moment!

Stick works ok through IL2 without a profile!

Can anyone here convert my old profile over to the new format?

Mick

you need to be running both the latest beta driver & beta SST.
old driver & new SST or vice versa won't work.

I've installed both !

Think I might revert back to the older version?

Just to be sure...

When you say, "it will not recognise any buttons/toggles/hats on the x52 when pressed/moved. I can't program it at all at the moment.",
do you mean within the profile editor?

If so, that's normal!
The old SST jumped right to the button you pressed; new (beta) SST won't!
But apart from that, you can program all buttons just like with the old SST.

If you meant something different, then I don't know, what's wrong... :(

Hello,

go to:

Start
Control Panel
Game controllers
Properties

And let me know what is not responding properly in that test screen.

Next go to the about tab and let me know what driver and software versions are showing.

OK am I confused here?

All is OK in the 'games controllers' - calib fine etc,etc all bells & whistles working.

I'm sure in the old profiler if I pressed a joystick button/hat/slider it showed up in the profiler for programming (am i wrong?), when i try to create a profile using the new beta any button/slider/hat etc pressed doesnt show up in the profiler at all. Keyboard commands do but not the stick?

I had the old profiler nailed, this one is giving me a headache LOL

Cant you just produce a program to convert the old ones? Why produce an incompatible profiler?

Since all fields are labeled (just like the buttons are), you shouldn't have a problem creating a profile.
Sure it was much more comfortable in the old SST (just pressing the button you want to program and SST jumps right to that cell).
But remember, it's still beta.
Once the beta stage is left, I'm sure we will have that comfort back.

And I'm sure we will have a profile converter then.
Yes, it was some work to recreate my profiles.
But recreating them gave me also the chance to think about and use the new possibilities (which I really like).

Hi. I have the X52 wtih the latest beta drivers and SST software. Everything works great. Make sure you have both the latest beta drivers and SST softeware installed. Also, I don't believe the new stuff can read old profiles.
