Okay, so I've been looking for a solution to this for a long time, and I still can't find one. I have a Saitek x52 joystick, and I really want to play the game Comanche 4 with it. There is onle problem however. Instead of using the throttle, the game wants to use the precision slide. Is there a way I can switch these two???
I've tried fixing this in the game options menu, but I couldn't do anything. I also tried putting rotary 1 & 2, and the precision slider on bands, and leave the throttle on axis, but that didn't do anything either. Please help!
thank you!

I have looked for an answer to this since the x45, and never found a fix. I took apart the game looking for the code, but it was too involved, so I just let it go, unfortunate.

disable throttle in comanche options
in the profiler change throttle to bands
create 3 bands space them evenly (or maybe 0-10% - 10-90% - 90-100%)
map band 1 to a (or letter of your choosing)
map band 3 to z (or letter of your choosing)
do not map the centre band
in comanche options change raise height to a (or letter of your choosing)
lower height to z (or letter of your choosing)
try that
works for me....

Yes, I'm afraid S&R4 is another game which does this. Sorry, but the only way around it is to program the throttle with the keyboard commands for increase/decrease throttle using the programming software.

actually i decided to open up the housing and run extra wires connecting thr. pot to slider. (there goes the warranty).
