Just while I was unpacking the unit earlier, I plugged it into my laptop and found a x52 pro version of a Falcon 4 config that someone had done.

Uploaded it via the Profile Editor and the profile name came up on the MFD and I was loking good. Moved the whole sherbang over to my main 64 Bit Vista machine, installed the 64B software, followed the same procedure that I did earlier and it will not load the profile onto the MFD.

It recognises the unit in Control Panel and all the buttons etc respond in the tests. If it is relevant, I can't even get it to update the time on the MFD. I have selected 'Display System Time' on the MFD tab in the CP Properties.

I definately loaded the 64 Bit drivers (and beta ones) as well as 64B profile software and still it qill not display on the profile on the MFD once I have pressed the profile icon within the software.

Any thoughts?

Apologies, I have just seen that you should not post new threads in this folder, Sorry Saitek.

Anyway, I have reinstalled from the CD and now the clock on the unit is displaying the System Time. What are the implications of using the drivers that come with the unit rather than going to either officially certified or beta released drivers?

Thanks

the drivers that come on the CD don't allow for programming in Vista (other than using in game) so you can't maximise the control options available to you.

Was the profile that you found in .dat format?
the new SST uses a different format .pro so you can't use a .dat profile on it.
