BUT I've been trying all morning to download the x52 drivers and all I got was time out ftp...
is this normal? any scheduled time I can get this? can someone send me the files via another ftp? how many indians fit in a rowboat?

Hi,

No, the FTP site is fine.

If you are running a firewall (including Windows XP's Firewall), anti-virus or download manager then try disabling them and downloading again – it’s also worth changing your browser to see if it helps. Also, try right-clicking on the link and choosing Save Target As… to try and download it and see if that makes a difference.

I'm having the same issue, but with the saitek p2500 vista 32 drivers. I've never been able to download from saitek's ftp.
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/vista/Saitek_P2500_Rumble_Pad_300107_32.exe

That's the file I'm trying to download. I've tried Firefox and Internet Explorer, I've disabled my firewall and antivirus. I still end up with nothing.

If you've done all that then it's still definitely something on your end that's the problem as the server is fine. Have you tried contacting your ISP to see if they can access the files?

just downloaded it all at an average 453KB/s from ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/sst_151205_32.exe so it looks like the problem is at your end.

try http://rapidshare.com/files/36352384/sst_151205_32.exe.html

ftp.saitek.com is working fine for me too. Successful download of ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/sst_151205_32.exe in a couple of minutes.
