I am not running VISTA, so that is not the problem, but I can't seem to get the SST software installed for my Command Unit. I have tried installing the sst software several times now and I keep getting the error message, "The current version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate."

I have tried downloading new drivers and software from saitek.com. but still get the same message.

Is this the error message you Vista users are getting?

Any idea how to fix this? I haven't tried the .dll fix everyone has been talking about here becasue it seems to be directed at Vista, but I might when I get home from work.

Hi,

Browse to your C:\Program Files\Common Files folder and rename the InstallShield folder in there to InstallshieldOLD.

Now try the installation again and it should be okay.

I actually found this solution in another forum post. But at least you came up with the correct solution. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Finally sorted it out, it was a problem with InstallShield.

Went to \Programs\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\Runtime and deleted ISProBE.tlb

SST installation worked after that and this file will be created new at the same time.

Fine, now my SST works, but I have a new problem now: I have no more option to print Version of the profiler software is 4.3.4.8, everything else seems to work, but no more printing is possible. Any help is appreciated.
