If you are experiencing no force feedback or rumble effects with your product when you have installed the Vista drivers then please do the following to get the forces working again.
Click Start, type
regedit
into the program window at the bottom and then press Enter.
In the Registry Editor click the plus sign next to the following folders in order:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
System
CurrentControlSet
Control
MediaProperties
PrivateProperties
Joystick
OEM
and delete any folders in there starting with VID_06A3.
Now unplug your controller, reinsert it and the forces should now work.

Sorry, but doesnīt work. Everytime I replug the controller, the registry-entry reappears. Please advise. Thank you!

Yes, it should reappear but the force feedback should be working - everyone else who has tried this has said that it fixes the problem.
Which controller do you have, which version of Vista are you running (i.e. is it a retail version or a beta? Is it 32- or 64-bit?) and does the controller work correctly on another PC?

Thanks for your reply!
I am using the R440 FF Wheel. My version of Vista is the Home Premium OEM 32-bit Version with the latest updates.
I didnīt try the wheel on another PC - non of my friends has Vista yet.
I tried it as you said - plugin the controller, delete the registry key, unplug the controller and replug it. Then I tested the function of FF by using the control panel - gamecontrollers testing option.

The other PC doesn't have to be running Vista - I was merely trying to make sure that there's not a fault with the wheel.
Do you definitely have the Vista drivers for the R440?
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/vista/Saitek_R440_Force_Wheel_300107_32.exe
Finally, check the power adapter that you have plugged into the wheel - we've had a few people in the past getting their AC adapters mixed up (easy to do with the plethora of wires behind most PCs) and plugging one in that doesn't provide enough power. The adapter needs to be supplying at least 20V and this will be indicated on the rating label on the adapter.

Yes, I recently installed these drivers. But now I reinstalled them - now it works fine! Maybe the setting in the registry on my computer had to be activated via reinstalling the drivers.
Thank you for your help!

I have new pc with vista
I have installed drivers and my Cyborg 3d force works - however when I load FSX demo the default force disappears and the joystick does not remain centred - making it impossible to use,
The other forces seem to work though ?????
Any ideas.

That fix is not working for me. I 've tried it 4-5 times but no feedback.
I am currently running Vista x64 and the 2500 gamepad.
The gamepad is working pretty ok since it has been tested on another windows XP based machine.
Thanks for the response

Have you tried using the latest beta2 drivers from the thread in the Announcements section here on the forum?

First of all I'd like to congratulate saitek publicly for being so direct and giving solutions to their customers. Its something that many big hardware and software companies have lost over the years. Not to mention that some don't even know yet what Vista is (even if they are dealing with much more important/expensive stuff than gaming devices).
The beta driver seems ok, I have feedback effects now :)
Thanks a lot, keep up the good job.

Okay,
First make sure that you've tried toggling the rumble button on the pad - you may have accidentally deactivated it there. If it still isn't working then download and install the drivers from here:
http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?t=11552
Install those and see if it then rumbles. If not then try removing those keys from the registry again and then try it.

Under control pannel there is an option to test rumble, when either checked or unchecked there is nothing.

You would need to give Atari a call on that then - if the rumble is working in Game Controllers then there's no reason why it shouldn't work in-game.

Same here... Any idea how to fix this .. I have Vista 32 bit Ultimate, does it help reinstalling vista, i've tried the registry fix, bit that did not help:confused: What can i possibly do to get the forces working again...
And yes.. i have tried to reinstall drivers
When i Checked under DXdiag/input, on all saitek items it says under the category "Force feedback driver", N/a. But when i try to innstall the saitek driver, it tells me to "plug in the controller you want to update", and I can't push the "next" button... So as a matter of fact, i can't innstall my Cyborg 3d Evo force driver...!
I have installed the SST software and there the forces work ok.. But the joystick iss still very loose..
Any help would be appreciated:)

I've yet to get Force Feedback to work correctly. Before I upgraded to Vista32, no problems. Stick worked well, strong forces, and gameplay was great. Since upgrading, I've not had any success in getting FF to work. It works in control manager, but NOTHING when running FS2004--or any of my other games... I've tried EVERYTHING and am getting increasingly frustrated...

Hi All,
the R660 is a great wheel that I used successfully with rFactor and Windows XP. Now I have changed to a better computer with Vista 64bit. After installing the apropriate drivers, downloaded from the Saitek Download-Page, force-feedback is not working. If I try with the Gamecontroller Panel of Windows Vista, it immediately stops force-feedback, sometimes even the Panel terminates due to an error. The same happens when I try to use the wheel in the game. What is wrong?
Best regards

Ditto here. Cyborg Rumble Pad, Vista 32-bit Ultimate SP1. No force feedback (properties window or games). If I open up the properties window, I can change the force "default gain", but once I close the window and re-open it, the gain is reset to 100%. The "test rumble effects" checkbox acts the same way (always checked when the properties are opened), although this may be by design.
There's currently no beta driver for this gamepad. Any ideas?
***Edit:
Got it working. Accidently deleted folders from "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" instead of from "HKEY_CURRENT_USER". Thanks for the help! (Now I just have to find a game to test it in)

I had this same fustrating issue. The drivers I downloaded from the website on Tuesday were from 5/2007. But i managed to get FF working on my Cyborg EVO Force
With the Stick UNPLUGGED!!!!
1 uninstalled the SST Software
2. Used Device manager to remove the driver (put a check in Delete the driver)
3. Opened regedit and in HKCU\System\CurrentControlSet\MediaProperties\JoyS tick\OEM I removed any Key that started with VID_06A (as suggested)
4. I then deleted c:\windows\temp\Saitek\
5. Then Bounced the box (reboot).
6. Open Device Manger:
After you plug your controller in the list will update:
7. When you see "HID Compliant Game Contoller" right click on it and choose
Update Driver software.
Then Search Automaticly for the software.
Do this for All your Saitek Controllers.
THEN install the SST Software and you should be in the Green
GOOD LUCK FOLKS!!!

Dear Sirs, Please tell me how to find BETA Drivers For Saitek Cyborg 3D Force (Vista 64 bit), i used to have it, but somehow lost the file.
The link in post #16 of this thread now refers to unavailable.
Official driver from Downloads/drivers/ (version Saitek_Cyborg3D_Force_SD6_64) unfortunately works incorrectly on my computer, - the force feedback, when i pull the joystick is delayed and too weak.

I'm runing Vista 64bit and at the first time I have the same problem,I have an Audigy 4 audio card in configuration and I replace the driver for this card with older version (version 2.12002 you may find on Creative site) before that I use a latest version of driver (2.18001) there is no vibration .
Now everything work perfect,Joypad VIBRATE and SOUND plays at the same time. It's pure luck to fihx this.
I play GTA IV versio 1.0.3.0(support direct input) the pad work fine all commands is on the pad,but the vibration not work (still Xbox compatibl. problem),in 'Death Space ' there is problem with commands (mishmash) not playeble with this controler.
This is solution for me , I'm using driver & softhware from Saitek CD.

I did all i seen here, the gamespad i'm using is Ps2700 rumble pad on windows vista x64 , and it worked when i test it,all the buttons work perfect and the vibrations, but strangely sometimes they "work" but they work like they want to not like they should , i mean i was playing street fighter 4 on the pc and it didn't had any vibration for about 15 minutes then it started automatically and vibrated continuosly for 5 or 6 minutes then it stopped then after 5 minutes it started again continously for about 5-6 minutes, and i found something strange in fifa 09 when i try to activate the vibrations option they don't stay on ,and in the game when i press the pc to ps2 button on the gamepad the game sees it like saitek ps2700 rumble pad or xbox 360 controller or just crontroller , this is all i found in fifa 09 , in world racing 2 the vibrations work only when i have a big crash , does this game pad need Immersion technology? and the games i've played didn't had it or what?
Pretty strange and i don't think it's the gamepad,or the windows, maybe the drivers i don't know , can somebody help pls?

Hey I just bought a P580. I can test the force feedback in the controller settings. The slider for force intensity is at 0% as default. When I raise it and click on apply I am able to test the force feedback, but after closing the settings the slider is changing back to 0% and it doesn't work in any game.
I'm using Windows 7 RC 64bit and tried the driver from the CD, from the Saitek homepage and even the Windows built-in driver and nothing works :(
Also the trick with editing the registry doesn't help.

Go here select your product, then choose your product then your system, it should have two download boxes one driver and the other one is ST
if it works in window it should work in the game, how ever, does the game support forces or rumble.
If so look in the game menu see if it is enabled.
