Anyone help?
I have just got an X52 (not pro) HOTAS and run it along with a Saitek Gamers Keyboard & Optical Desktop Mouse - all from onboard USB sockets NO hubs!
Everytime I load my X52 Profile and open IL2 Forgotten Battles 1946 my Mouse stops responding & my PC hangs - I can manage to close IL2 with Ctrl+Alt+del but after that the PC doesnt respond at all. BTW the mouse control on the X52 doesnt work either.
If I dont load my profile everything is AOK !
I suspect a software issue with the other saitek components - got any ideas or fixes peeps??

What about the drivers and software from the website? - they're newer than those listed in that thread.
Also, are your soundcard drivers fully up to date?

Sorry took so long been away!
Yep i've got the latest drivers installed from the site - did that straight away on getting the X52.
Am about to update my soundcard drivers today - SoundMax on an Asus P4S800 MoBo
Will post back,
Mick

Nope no difference!
I'm getting really annoyed about this now, i've tried reinstalling the drivers (from the website d/l today), updated my soundcard drivers today but still the problem persists?
If I load a profile IL2 hangs - i've tried fitting an old PS2 mouse but the problems still there, the game opens but the mouse will not work? I have to ctrl+alt+del to close it but that doesnt always work either?
Cant see any obvious problem with my profile - would post it here but it keeps coming up 'invalid file' even if zipped in WinRar ?

.rar files aren't supported by the attachment option. Just rename the .dat file to a .zip file and attach it.

Not sure what you did with the profile there because I can't open it whichever way I rename it. Could you just take the .dat file, rename it to a .zip (don't even touch Winzip or similar) and then attach it?

Okay,
I reckon it's your rotaries that are causing the problem. You've got them programmed completely with programmed bands so there's no point where the rotary can be where nothing happens. The consequence of this is that it's like constantly holding down those keys that you have programmed and this can cause all kinds of wierd effects.
Take a look at what I've done with the profile now. This may not work too well with the neutral trim commands so you may have to tweak it, but note the blank central band on the rotaries where nothing is programmed. When you've finished using the rotary to trim, remember to always return them to the centre and you should find that the crashes stop.

Thanks Richard will give it a try tomorrow - perhaps this needs highlighting in the SST help files ?
Thanks for your time,

Hi richard,
Still the same i'm afraid! Dont like any other profiles i've found so i've resorted to programming the stick through Forgotten battles - lose the mode function sadly !!
Anyway to get the mode function to work through the game and not the SST ?
