Hello,

Do I need to download specific drivers for the X36 USB for VIsta or are the "out-of-the-box" Vista drivers OK. There aren't any on the Saitek website so I wondered if it was supported. The stick appears to work OK with the in-built Vista drivers.

Also, does anybody know if the new SST software for Vista will support the X36 USB.

Thanks

Mark

Saitek dropped X36 USB driver/software support about a year ago.

Yea well thats all OK but does anybody have any idea if it MIGHT work? Since Vista recognises it as the X36 USB so should the SST also right? or wrong? that is the question

Actually that isn't the OP's question . ;)
But in regards to yours no (public) version of SST works under Vista at the moment ...

rgr that :) I'm looking forward to a SST for vista. I realy hope that it is compatible with x36 since the xp drivers for x36 work without a hitch in vista

Only problem i have at the momen is the calibration. I had to remove the chip inside the stick that stores the calibration data in order for XP to recognize the stick when i plugg it in the USB socket. calibration worked fine in XP after i did that. the calibraion in vista doesnt exactly work as well. the problem is only for the x and y axis. all other axis calibrates just fine.

I realy love my x36 controler. It is one of the best contolers I have ever had the pleasure to put my greasy fingers on. And it looks pretty damn cool to
