Hey all, I have the x52 joystick.
When I try to program the joystick with the SST software, and go into adanced options to make a keymapping, the advanced options windows acts as if I were holding the TAB key down on the keyboard and not letting go. I am not doing such things. This prevents me from using the Advanced dialog whatsoever. I even unplugged my keyboard to see if it was a glitch (A4Tech wireless keyboard/mouse combo - mouse unused). That did nothing. Thinking it was an issue with the joystick, I opened up the profiler, then unplugged the joystick, probelm remains. Anyone else have this problem? I can't find a solution anywhere.

System specs:
AMD Athlon 64 2800
Gigabyte K8 Triton mobo
Keyboard + mouse as above
Logitech MX1000 AND G7 Laser mouse (tried unplugging each - no luck)
Logitech Wireless Game Controller w/ rumble
Saitek x52 (obviously)
Audigy 2 ZS
ATI x1600pro 512mb

Driver version: 5.5.0.82
Software version: 4.3.3.2059

Hi,

Do you have Windowblinds or other similar Windows "skinning" software installed? If you do then please turn it off and you should find that solves this issue.

I have been getting this problem too. I have verified that it has somthing to do with the saitek software, USB connection or joystick(s). However, It may also have somthing to do with the drivers. My problem is that all my keys seem to be acting like Im sitting on my keyboard. I too went through the very lengthy process of checking my keyboard and mouse for hours before comming to this conclusion. I have downloaded and installed the non-WHOL(?) drivers and software and for at least the last fifteen mins things have been normal. I also changed USB ports, (this may have been the problem all along...I dont know). Good Luck! hope this helps

PS: I do not have any weird widows themes or blinds or widgets running on my computer.

Thank you UKSUpport! It worked. I simply made an exclusion to the program that is the profile editor in Windoblinds. (Modify per app setting, ignore this app and do not skin it). Although I am curious, why does this have this effect?

To be honest, we've no idea - Windowblinds is not something we test for and can produce unwanted behaviour in other apps.
